Note: In Spanish, an “ermita” refers to a small chapel or sanctuary, usually set in nature or on the outskirts of a village, often linked to the life of hermits or to a particular devotion.
Edwin MEDINA, hispanic american Director, screenwriter & Producer
One of the milestones of his career is the remarkable short film Il Trino del Diablo, which recounts the story of the prodigious 17th-century Italian violinist Giuseppe Tartini. Written, directed, and produced by Edwin in 2019, this work highlights the scope of his creative talent. In 2021, he also won the FDC (Proimágenes Colombia) call with a project inspired by the stories of Chocó—his Colombian homeland—bringing them to the screen with both authenticity and sensitivity.
Edwin can proudly look back on a career enriched by numerous collaborations,both as director and producer, including with National Geographic.
His work has earned him multiple awards in diverse categories across several Latin American countries. Among them, Argentina—a great nation of cinema—and his native Colombia, the land where he was born and where he shaped, with determination and passion, his innate talent for the 7th Art.
Susanna creates the whole soundtrack of
“OUVRE LES YEUX – LES ALGUES” by video maker Maxent Foulon, documentary that was awarded in 2022 with the prestigious prize Golden GALATHEA,
under the category “Environment”
